PRE CARE
In the days leading up to your appointment, avoid using harsh skincare products, such as exfoliants, retinoids, and strong acids, around the eye area. These products can cause irritation and increase sensitivity, making the skin more prone to adverse reactions during treatment. Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water to keep your body and skin hydrated. Well-hydrated skin around the eyes appears plumper and more youthful, which can enhance the results of eye skin care treatments. Get adequate sleep: Aim for a good night's sleep before your appointment to reduce puffiness and dark circles around the eyes. Lack of sleep can exacerbate common eye concerns and make the skin appear tired and dull. Protect the skin: Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher to the skin around your eyes daily, especially if you'll be exposed to sunlight before your appointment. Sunscreen helps prevent premature aging, sun damage, and hyperpigmentation in the delicate eye area. Avoid eye rubbing: Refrain from rubbing or pulling at the skin around your eyes, as this can exacerbate puffiness, dark circles, and fine lines. Gentle patting motions are preferable when applying skincare products or makeup.
POST CARE
Refrain from touching or rubbing the treated skin around the eyes immediately after the treatment. Touching the area can introduce bacteria and irritate the skin, potentially leading to infection or other complications. Use gentle skincare products: Choose gentle, fragrance-free skincare products formulated specifically for the delicate eye area. Avoid using harsh exfoliants, retinoids, or other active ingredients that may cause irritation or sensitivity. Apply cool compresses: If you experience any swelling or discomfort after the treatment, apply cool compresses or chilled eye masks to the treated area. This can help reduce inflammation and soothe the skin. Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water to keep your body and skin hydrated. Hydration is essential for skin health and can help minimize dryness and promote healing after the treatment. Protect the skin: Continue to apply sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher to the treated area daily, even if you're not planning to spend much time outdoors. Sunscreen helps protect the skin from UV damage, which can worsen pigmentation and premature aging. Avoid makeup: Refrain from applying makeup to the treated area for at least 24 to 48 hours after the treatment, or as advised by your skincare specialist. Makeup can clog pores and interfere with the skin's healing process.
