BLEMISH REMOVAL

From £90

Electrolysis is a method primarily used for hair removal, but it can also be utilized for certain types of blemish removal, particularly for removing individual skin blemishes like skin tags, small warts, or certain types of blemishes that protrude from the skin. The process uses an electrical current to destroy the tissue at the site of the blemish.

How Electrolysis Works for Blemish Removal:

Electrolysis Device: A fine needle or probe is inserted into the blemish or into the tissue surrounding it. The device delivers an electrical current to the target area.

Destruction of Tissue: The electrical current destroys the tissue by causing a chemical reaction that either burns or coagulates the cells, effectively removing or shrinking the blemish.

Healing: The treated area then heals over time, and the blemish either falls off or reduces in size.

Benefits of Electrolysis for Blemish Removal:

Precision: Electrolysis allows for precise targeting of specific blemishes or lesions.

Non-Surgical: A non-invasive procedure with minimal risk of scarring if performed correctly.

Effectiveness: Particularly effective for small, superficial blemishes or skin tags.

Procedure:

Consultation: A consultation with our nurse practitioner to assess the blemishes and determine if electrolysis is appropriate for your specific needs.

Preparation: The area to be treated is cleaned and possibly numbed with a local anesthetic to minimize discomfort.

Treatment: The practitioner uses the electrolysis device to apply the electrical current to the blemish. The procedure can take just a few minutes depending on the size and number of blemishes being treated.

Aftercare: Post-treatment care involves keeping the area clean, avoiding direct sun exposure, and following any specific instructions provided by the practitioner.
